Sustainability Contribution from Elektraweb Taking the stage after President Uğursal Uğur, Gökhan Faruk Duran, Sales and Marketing Coordinator of Talya Bilişim, explained the studies and scientific and technological approaches in line with Turkey's commitment to become carbon neutral by 2073. He also emphasized the effects of carbon offset mechanisms and international certification processes in the sector. Duran stated that companies operating in the field of sustainability provide internationally recognized certificates to hotels and other facilities. "For example, the Green Hotel Certificate, which certifies that a hotel acts in accordance with efforts to reduce carbon emissions, makes a difference in the sector. The certification process is transparently shared with the public." Duran also stated that with the software they have developed, some hotels offer their guests the opportunity to offset the carbon emissions they cause during their travels and added, "Guests contribute to the environment by ensuring that this income is invested in natural resources for a certain fee. These applications will help hotels increase their international market share while raising environmental awareness."
