For the first time in Turkey, a hotel software program developed by a company from Antalya controls 400 thousand beds in 2 thousand hotels. As of today, all stages of 33 percent of tourists from booking to returning home are recorded. 'Elektra Hotel Automation', produced by Antalya-based Talya Informatics, is used in 2 thousand hotels in Turkey and the Ministry of National Education (MEB) has made the software program a compulsory course in tourism vocational high schools. A training was organized in Antalya for the lecturers and teachers of 72 tourism vocational high schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education and tourism vocational schools and colleges in universities regarding the software program, which can provide continuous dialogue with all foreign guests who set foot in Turkey in terms of sustainability in tourism and customer satisfaction monitoring.400 THOUSAND BEDS, 8.5 MILLION TOURISTS Talya Bilişim General Manager Kemal Oral explained that all foreign guests who prefer hotels where the program is used are provided with the continuity of customer relations from the reservation until they return home and afterwards. Stating that they cater to 400 thousand beds in about 2 thousand hotels in Turkey, Oral said that 8.5 million of the approximately 25 million tourists coming to Turkey and 4 million of the total 10 million tourists coming to Antalya are included in this automation system. TECHNOLOGY EXPORT TO 6 COUNTRIES Kemal Oral stated that they work with many important groups and hotels such as TUI, Odeon, Hillside (Alarko), Fame, Aydın Bey, Ramada, Adam&Eve, Ela Quality and said, "We also serve the international connections of these groups. We also sell software from Turkey to 5-6 countries. These countries include Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Germany, Egypt and Cyprus.We have 41 dealers and 5 offices in Turkey." Stating that they are the largest company in the field of hotel automation in Turkey, Kemal Oral said that since Elektra Hotel Automation is taught as a compulsory course in tourism vocational high schools by the Ministry of National Education within the scope of social responsibility projects, training is given to teachers and lecturers of tourism vocational schools and colleges at both high schools and university level. Pointing out that the facilities and natural resources in Turkey are very good, but the lack of well-trained personnel is the biggest problem, Kemal Oral emphasized that it is ensured that the customer can be maintained in the dialogue after leaving Turkey and that this is also very important for Turkish tourism.WE GOT RID OF DEPENDENCY ON FOREIGN Before this software program, tourism companies were using software imported from abroad, Oral pointed out, "Millions of dollars a year were going abroad in this way. Turkey got rid of its dependence on foreign countries and the foreign currency stays in the country." Kemal Oral noted that the software system is also used in areas such as guesthouses, camps and lodgings of institutions and organizations such as TÜPRAŞ, TEDAŞ, TCDD, Turkish Armed Forces, Central Bank, police houses, apart from the private sector.
