As in many hotels, at Istanbul Via Hotel, 10 of the 18 modules of the Elektra Hotel Automation system were actively used according to the facility's needs. Nilüfer Durukal, General Coordinator of Talya Bilişim, which offers the Elektra brand to the tourism sector, explained their product activities to RESORT magazine.
As Talya Bilişim, we produce computer software known in the market as the Elektra brand, used by hotels, resorts, and other accommodation facilities, as well as businesses like restaurants, cafes, and bars. Our hotel software consists of 18 different modules designed to manage all departments of a hotel, from front desk and accounting to inventory, fixed assets management, marketing, and sales.
Tourism is a sector where we have been active for about 15 years and it accounts for more than half of our total operations. Our company has two main products: Medisoft Hospital Management Software aimed at the healthcare sector, and Elektra Hotel Software offered to the tourism sector. Elektra has been in the market since 1996, was upgraded with a renewed technological infrastructure in 2008 and became Elektra v3, and as of 2010, it is actively used by more than 2000 hotels.
Among our users are large establishments like Yazıcı Group, Paşa Group, Noa Group, Adam & Eve, Hill Side hotels, Aqua Fantasy (Turkey’s largest hotel with a capacity of 3500 beds), Klassisler, Orduevleri, Vilayetevleri, and many others. Besides this, we have an effort to train personnel for the sector. As you know, Elektra is taught as a course in many universities and tourism schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. Moreover, through our in-house training and dealers, we have contributed more than 50,000 tourism professionals to the sector.
At Istanbul Via Hotel, 10 of the 18 modules of the Elektra Hotel Automation system are actively used according to the facility’s needs. Via Hotel uses the finance management module to track stock and general accounting records. Employees’ records, attendance, payroll, official reports, visit cards, and leaves at Istanbul Via Hotel are easily managed through our Human Resources module.
The Pay TV module allows guests entering their rooms to be greeted with Via Hotel’s welcome message, and the charges are automatically added to their accounts, enabling them to watch paid movies from the hotel’s film archive in addition to standard channels.
Thanks to the Fixed Assets module applied at Via Hotel, fixed asset tracking is done in the hotel, and barcode handheld computers are used for counting. Barcodes can be printed according to product features and locations. Warranty and service agreements are also easily monitored.
To increase operational efficiency, Via Hotel uses the Opex module. Opex controls all workflow processes inside the hotel, such as tasks, problems, messages, decisions, and announcements, thus ensuring uninterrupted information flow among employees, which results in flawless service for guests.
Via Hotel also uses our Health and Sports module to track appointments and stock status in the spa center. Guests’ debts from the services provided are immediately transferred to their accounts, and staff bonuses are calculated accordingly.
With the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) program, all complaints and requests from hotel guests can be tracked. This allows the hotel to determine customer preferences and respond to requests accordingly.
